A Superior Court justice gutted the federal prostitution law in Ontario on Tuesday, allowing sex-trade workers to solicit customers openly and paving the way for judges in other provinces to follow suit.

Yes Ottowa would appeal this one! As there in Police State mode anyway. Heaven forbid Hookers could now be safe and clean, that would never do. Ottowa plays Ostrich as per ususal, what a waste of time and money to prove there still outdated and behaving like children in the sand box.. 0 replies1 reply 0 replies1 reply Please wait while we perform your request. No surprise there. However, the Ontario Court of Appeal will only affirm the Superior Court ruling. I've read the judgment, and Justice Himel soundly sided with the applicants, who won based on a tonne of solid legal and human rights arguments. The government respondents had no case at all.
After the Court of Appeal, you can bet that the Conservatives will take this all the way to the Supreme Court of Canada — where the government will lose again. The winners will be sex workers, women, public health and human rights. 2 replies1 reply 2 replies1 reply Please wait while we perform your request. Abuse Reported Report Abuse
