Canada's supply of nurses has grown faster than the population since 2005, but levels haven't returned to what they were before health-care budget cuts in the 1990s, a new report finds.

The Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) said Thursday the country has just over 266,000 registered nurses, based on data collected from 2005 to 2009, the most recent available.
