Ihre Aufgabe:

The Software Developer designs and implements software solutions for automated material handling software systems and equipment in warehouses and distribution centers. This position requires knowledge about various programming languages, software development tools, software architecture, operating systems, hardware and network design and databases.

Designs and implements software solutions based on software requirement specifications
Tests own software implementation and that of others against requirements
Takes over responsibility for a specific area of software development within a project
Creates small scale requirement analysis and software specifications for area of responsibility
Creates software documentation for own software implementation and that of others
Actively escalates issues to IT Project Manager and Software Developer Lead
Commissions software on-site
Sets-up test scenarios for commissioning and executes those
Supports system ramp-up and go-live on-site
Troubleshoots system issues in 1st, 2nd or 3rd level depending on project requirements and works on-call
Supports IT CSS engineers and on-site Software Support Engineers
Travels internationally for training, project assignments and commissioning
Shift work on an as needed basis for system support and/or commissioning

Ihr Profil:

Computer Science/Engineering Degree
Knowledge of Java and SQL, PL/SQL or other database related technologies
The ability to understand complex processes
Availability to work on multiple site to install, commission and test installation of material handling solutions
The ability to work in a multi-cultural team environment
Excellent communication/analytical skills
Must be willing to travel within Canada and internationally
Knowledge of logistics, material handling and software technology is beneficial
Authorization to stay and work in Canada for an extended period of time ( i. e. Canadian citizenship, a valid visa or greencard etc.)
