Schlechte Behandlung durch Immigration Canada?

Habe schon lange nicht mehr hier im Forum geschrieben. In den letzten wochen hat sich hier bei mir in der Stadt ein Immigrations Fall abgspielt wo mich eure Meinung interessieren wuerde.

OTTAWA — Members of the Kemptville family scheduled for deportation to Trinidad and Tobago on Friday morning went into hiding Thursday, but then agreed to surrender themselves to Canadian immigration authorities.

Molital Maharaj, his daughter Cherish and son Raphael, Raphael’s wife Shamira and their son Messiah are required to be at the Ottawa airport at 10 a.m.

They had gone into hiding Thursday after being refused sanctuary by two local churches.

Members of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church said it was against their personal interest, according to Leonardo Amato, a family friend and community advocate. Church officials could not be reached for comment.

Amato, 61, also contacted his priest at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, but said that request was also refused.

“When did the church become so unconscientious that they’re more


worried about the political effects than helping people?” Amato said. “If they’re criminals, believe you me I will turn their back on them, but, if they’re not criminals, I will fight until there’s no more fight left in me.”

Around noon, Vashti Maharaj, Molital’s wife, had received a call from immigration officials who said that the family may be detained to make sure they would be at the Ottawa airport on Friday, said her son, Ricky, who was not facing deportation himself.

Ricky, who was at home with his own son Navin on Thursday night, said the other family members then got into an unknown vehicle and drove away without telling him where they were going.

Late Thursday night, however, immigration officials again contacted Ricky and told him that they had been in contact with the family, which had agreed to surrender, and that they would continue to execute the deportation order as scheduled.

Ricky said the family decided to surrender after immigration officials threatened to detain him and put his two-year-old son in foster care if they did not return to their residence, where immigration officials were waiting.

“They just gave up when they heard they would put my kid in foster care, I


told them not to,” he said.

Ricky also said that immigration officers told him that, although he previously had no conditions on his stay in Canada, he would be required to meet with an officer on Tuesday to hear new conditions.

Kemptville-area residents rallied around the family earlier this week, starting a petition to ask the Immigration and Refugee Board to reconsider the case of the family, describing them as hard-working, law-abiding and a welcome part of the community.

North Grenville Mayor David Gordon said: “They’re an intricate part of the community. They work hard, they volunteer, people just like them. I can’t say enough about them. They’re just the type of people you want in your community.”

The Maharajs were denied refugee status last year and the family, not including Ricky, who has a Canadian-born son, and Vashti, who is waiting for a passport.

The Maharaj family and Kemptville supporters maintain the family has not broken Canadian laws.

The family received notice that their application had been denied because of a lack of credible evidence to support their refugee claim, but Vashti Maharaj said the Immigration and Refugee Board did not fully disclose its reasons for denying them refugee status.

“It’s time the truth comes out. I have nothing to hide. I’ve been here, I’ve worked my ass off, I’ve been robbed so many times. I haven’t complained, haven’t did anything about it. My family deserves this,” Vashti Maharaj said in a call to Citizen reporter Don Butler on Thursday.


Meine Frage an euch, ist es legal das Immigration Canada drohen darf dass sie das Kind dem Vater wegnehmen und es in Foster Care bringen?
Wurdet ihr schon mal schlecht behandelt durch die Immigration Canada?
Ich selbst wurde am Flughafen bei meiner Einreise wie dreck behandelt, es wurde mir unterstellt das ich Luege, meine Tagebuecher wurden mir weggenommen und falsch uebersetzt, ich hatte keine chance mit der Person persoenlich zu reden die meine Tagebuecher uebersetzt hat, das hat man mir nicht erlaubt.
Ueber einen Taubstummen Mann der mit mir in der Immigration sahs, wurden Witze gemacht.

Ein Freund vom Militaer meinte damals ich solle eine Anzeige machen, was ich nicht machte weil ich natuerlich angst hatte es koennte meine PR gefaerden.

Mittlerweile bin ich seit 2 jahren PR und dieser Fall der sich heute bei mir in der Stadt abspielte machte mich sehr sauer.

Ok es handelt sich um Leute aus Trinidad wo es meines Wissen keine Politischen Unruhen gibt im Gegenteil das Land ist stabil.

Sie wollen "Fluechtlings Status !?" Sorry aber jeder hat den offiziellen Weg zu gehen, sich in einer Kirche verkriechen ist meiner Meinung nach sich vor dem Gesetz druecken wollen bzw sich nicht an den Offiziellen Weg der immigration halten der fuer jeden gilt. So einfach ! Wer in DE kein Aufenthaltsrecht hat wird ja auch abgeschoben.

Molital, Cherish, Raphael, Shamira und Messiah sollen abgeschoben werden. So weit, so gut, Asyl abgelehnt... kann man sich ohne nähere Kenntnisse nicht zu äußern.

Aber: Wenn die oben genannten nicht pünktlich am Flughafen sind soll Ricky verhaftet und sein Sohn zu Pflegeeltern gebracht werden?
Sippenhaft? Ich dachte das wäre zumindest für zivilisierte Länder finsterste Vergangenheit.

Bin da ganz 0815s Meinung.

Es wird schon rechtes sein das die Familie abgeschoben wurde. Es geht mir darum das dem Sohn der Familie gedroht wurde, das sie ihm seinen Sohn wegnehmen und in Foster Care bringen.
Der Sohn darf ja in kanda bleiben da er mit einer kanadierin ein kind hat. Also darf da Immirgration Canada solche erpressungen ausprechen?

Die Aussage kam vom Sohn der Leute die abgeschoben werden sollten und ich denke das vielleicht nicht ganz unvorhereingenommen sein duerfte.Inwiefern das nun stimmt kann man nicht wissen.
Illegale sind auch hier in Kanada ein Problem und ich kenne viele Kanadier,denen die Zuwendungen fuer Refugee sehr gegen den Schnitt gehen.Ich werd mal suchen,aber ein Refugeeantrag und Pruefung dessen kann bis zu 7 Jahre dauern,wenn alle Schritte durchgegangen sind und in der Zeit kosten sie dem Staat eine Menge Geld.

Es steht da, das [b:bx[album]0[/album]tvb]wenn[/b:bx[album]0[/album]tvb] der Man sich nicht den Auflagen beugt und nach Hause faehrt er eingelocht wird
sprich "nennen wir es mal Beugehaft " kommt , das man sich dann natuerlich um den Sohn Kuemmert ist doch voellig logisch.

Es ging doch aber um völlig verschiedene Leute: Wenn die, die ausgewiesen werden sollen sich nicht beugen, wird deren Sohn verhaftet und deren Enkel zu Fremden gebracht. Der, dem die Verhaftung drohte sollte doch überhaupt nicht ausgewiesen werden. Sippenhaft als Erpressung.

Und weil *andere Leute* sich nicht an Auflagen gehalten haben soll wohl auch noch sein Aufenthaltsstatus geändert werden:

Was hat denn dieser Ricky damit zu tun wenn seine Eltern oder andere Verwandte Mist bauen?

Er hat den Status sicher aufgrund seiner Eltern bekommen. Jetzt hat sich der veraendert und seiner KOENNTE sich dadurch auch aendern, weil der 1. Grund nicht mehr vorhanden ist.... Denke mal, das 'Denken' der Behoerde liegt in der Richtung...............
