While Canada lost a net total 54,500 jobs, the number of job lost in the private sector was a whopping 85,000 -- the worst performance since February of 2009, at the height of the financial crisis.

Equally surprising is where jobs were being lost: Western Canada proved to be particularly weak, with British Columbia shedding 15,000 jobs and Alberta declining by 11,000. On a per capita basis, Alberta lost jobs at more than twice the pace of Ontario, which lost 17,000 positions.

Maxim hat recht, das waren extrem miese Zahlen fuer den Arbeitsmarkt. Das Erschreckende war, dass keiner von der Regierung,
Ferderal wie auch Provincial, auch nur den Ansatz einer Erklaerung fuer diesen extremen Jojo Effekt haben. Auch die Opposition
zuckt mit den Schultern und verweist auf die immer noch schlechte Verfassung der US Wirtschaft ... really ?

Als Normalo von der Strasse sagt man ja immer wieder mal: Die da oben wissen es auch nicht besser Wissen. Diesmal muss man wirklich das Gefuehl haben, dass Ottawa, Victoria, Edmonten ... usw die neuen Taeler der Ahnungslosen sind ... aber Hauptsache wir haben

Really!
Die US-Wirtschaft wird sich in den nächsten Jahrzehnten kaum erholen. Da hilft nur: Beziehungen auf das absolut notwendige Minimum beschränken damit man selbst wieder auf die Beine kommt. Gut, wenn die canadische Opposition das erkannt hat. Dann besteht noch Hoffnung.

Summer das really? war ironisch gemeint, da dies common knowlegde in Kanada ist. Jedes Kleinkind kann dir sagen, dass Kanada
viel zu eng mit der US verwurschtelt ist. Aber die jetzige Regierung in Ottawa scheint erst nach dem Credit Crunsh endlich aufzuwachen und sucht nach "neuen Maerkten" wie China, Indien und Brasilien .... leider 20 Jahre zu spaet.
