Programmer Analyst / Technical Support

Our client, a well established international organization located in beautiful downtown Vancouver is currently in need of an outgoing, dedicated individual to join a growing team as a technical support analyst within their internal organization. If you have a background in development (i.e., BSc in Computer Science) and have serviced individuals up to Tier II level support then we want to hear from you. Skills and Experience:

•A Minimum of 3 years experience in technical support
•Must be fluent in English and German
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must.
•In-depth knowledge of the Windows environment
•Experience in a structured programming environment – C and C++ (scripting, troubleshooting)
•In depth knowledge of data structures (SQL, creating queries) database experience (create, manipulate and relate tables; extract and export data)
•Knowledge of scripting within an accounting environment (AP, AR, GL) is an asset.

ich habe diese Anzeige auch schon gesehen bei Monster/Workopolis
und habe mal eine dumme Frage dazu.

Wie ist der Satz "Candidates must be authorized to work in Canada" genau zu verstehen? Den Satz sieht man ja wohl in vielen Stellenangeboten, darum diese generelle Frage

Heißt das die suchen nur Leute die bereits in Canada leben bzw. eine Work Permit haben oder auch Leute die aufgrund so eines Stellenangebotes eine Work Permit bekommen könnten und so dann nach Canada immigrieren können.

Hoffe die Frage ist klar formuliert.

Für mich klingt das doch eindeutig: Der Arbeitgeber möchte sich die Arbeit für's Visum sparen. Er erwartet daß Du bereits permanent resident bist oder daß Du ein open work permit hast. Oder gar kanadischer Staatsbürger bist.

Dies bedeutet schlicht und ergreifend, als Europäer ohne eine Arbeitserlaubnis, keine Chance. Man sollte zu mindestens den PR Status haben, da der AG keine LMO beantragen wird um ein WP anzustreben, also ein Gesuch für den rein canadischen Arbeitsmarkt.

Ihr schaut alle auf PR oder WP.

Wichtiger ist, dass man dem HRSCD (can.AA) seine bestandenen und in Canada abgelegten IT Zertifikate vorlegen kann. Haette bei mir als Netzwerkspezialist laut Anfrage so schlappe 23.000 CAD gekostet. Nicht zu bezahlen. Berufe muessen ja in Canada bekanntlich alle nochmals durchgebueffelt und Pruefungen abgelegt werden.

wieso brauchst du bei einer PR nachweis von IT zertifikaten um in diesem beruf zu arbeiten???

das ist so nicht ganz richtig - denke ich mal.

ein freund von mir hat als it-fachmann in montreal mit wp gearbeitet und er brauchte nur seine deutschen diplome vorzulegen.

wenn du bereits die PR hast - dann interessiert das nur noch deinen arbeitgeber - mit HRSD hat man dann nichts mehr am hut, wenn es um einen neuen job geht.

wenn du so was machen möchtest, dann suche dir eine uni oder ein institut, wo deine ausbildung und berufserfahrung anerkannt wird.

dort machst du nur einen auffrischungskurs - wie es auch kanadier machen - von 6 monaten und du hast ein ca zertifikat.

sowas reicht in der regel den arbeitgebern, da sie daran deinen aktuellen stand erkennen können

oft wird man dann auch von der uni vermittelt
