das problem schein ja in fast allen provinzen zu existieren
ZitatNova Scotia is in dire need of skilled workers, a conference of industry and education representatives heard Friday in Halifax.

The province's construction industry will need 12,000 workers over the next 10 years while 40 per cent of skilled construction workers in the province will retire over the same period, said Carol MacCulloch, president of the Construction Association of Nova Scotia.
She said it's been tough to recruit young people to take the place of retirees. The line up to get into training programs for trades is so long that some people tire of waiting and decide to do something else, she said.
Plus, she added, there's a Catch-22: people who do manage to get training can't get hired as apprentices because the industry is looking for experienced workers.
"It's a big concern for us that people get discouraged, because we have employers who say they can't find people, and we have people coming out of the school system who say they can't find jobs. So, how do we put that together?" MacCulloch said.
