Hi Koulla I have diabetes and other medical issues. I took with me to the medical a copy of my medical records (our doctor ran them off on the computer for me and it cost me about 25 pounds). This included letters from any of the consultants that I have visited etc. in the last nine years. I also got a letter from my doctor (who managed my diabetes) about my current state of health, as well as a letter from my consultant about one of my other conditions. The doctor who did the medical said he was very pleased to get this information as it was most helpful. I also took with me a list of all the drugs I was currently taking (a reasonably long list too!!)
I am sure that the medical will be fine. I worried myself sick over the whole damn thing from the time we first applied to come to Canada. I was so stressed at the medical that my blood pressure was showing at 200 over something or other!! I thought that might go against me too. However, we are now happily in Canada (I arrived three weeks ago)
I think if I can get through the medical, anyone can, as some of my medical issues are quite serious and will involve ongoing treatment and also an operation in the not too distant future. Please don't worry too much about it. Bren
es sieht so aus, dass Diabetes kein problem ist

Hi Koulla
I'm a Type 2 diabetic and got through OK. I took medical results from my doctors with me to the medical and there was no trouble - worth getting these from your doctor beforehand if poss. If you have a particular test that is carried out for your illness then get it done now so you have recent results for it, most doctors are happy to oblige if you explain what it is for. Good luck. Bye for now,
vielen Dank für Deine Informationen. Habe Deinen Beitrag im Medical Check zitiert, da ich ihn nicht dorthin verschoben bekommen habe. Könntest Du bitte Themen die mit dem Medical Check zu tun haben hier posten. Danke!
