Why do employers ask such questions?

The answers are voluntary but for what kind of statistics this crap is used in North America?

I'm sure there is no racism behind it but why the heck they always ask these questions?

Mostly because preference will be given to aboriginal people or visible minorities when filling a position.
At least that is the official version. If you watch closely you will find above sentence in many job postings.

Yes but i'm sure they also mention on their forms that the answers will not influence the decision regarding the job ...

Personally i would understand the aboriginal preference but i think an employer cannot really decide that way without beeing in trouble.

Maybee this is a special thing in canada and employer can do this.

But mostly forms ask if you black,hispano,white person etc..

Look at the jobs the government has to fill...it states that they are an equal opportunity employer and that they encourage applications from aboriginal people, women and visible minorities.
