I applied for the PR family class last year, my husband is Canadian. Recently i received a letter from the Embassy in Berlin, in which it said that an interview is required for my application.
Do anyone here has the similar experience to share with me? Thanks in advance,
Doris
PS: you could also answer my question in German. I cannot write in German but i can read it.
thanks a lot for the info. I've already read that before. It helps, but that's not an interview for Family class. I guess it should be some different. What my firend said do scares me. At first I thought an Interview is just a part of the formality, but...
Oh my god, we've been together for almost 4 years and we married last spring. How could they suspect us? We dont have kids yet, is that the reason why I need an interview?
I'm really the first one here to have an interview in Berlin for family class?
One more question, Mark. Did you really print out all the emails so that the visa officer can also read the contents? I ask cos i only print a list of all Emails i got from my husband in the last 3 years. So the visa officer can only see the date, the title and the name of my husband, but not the contents.
ok, if i'm really the first one to have such an interview, i will post the experiece after my interview.
first at all I want to say, these Immigration Officers are really nice people. Well, sure they can become picky, if they have doubts, but if all informations are correct and nothing is faked, there is nothing to be scared of. As I mentioned it my Erlebnisbericht, I really were scared like chicken, because I didnt know, why they wanted to interview me.
But after the interview I have to recap, that it was really a very nice coversation, which we had- and a nice experience with a beautiful day in Berlin.
So, please (I know it´s hard) don´t panic!
FMPOV I think, they changed a bit the status from "waive alot " to "invite more". Maybe it is an internal thing.
I fully agree with Mark to bring as much docs as possible. I would two packages. One is not sooo private stuff: Phone Bills before moving together, Email listings, vacation tickets and bills, aso. 2nd package detailed listing, even if it is hard and very private but worth it. Printed emails, personal letters, aso.
I would love to hear from you after the interview, how you saw it.
Thank you Stak74, I hope i can also enjoy my day in Berlin.
Let's just wait and see.
Doris
