For several weeks, the rock legends were rumoured to be performing at the city's annual outdoor concert.

Ian Fowler, general manager of tourism in Moncton, confirmed they will take to the stage on Aug. 6. He said he's thrilled Moncton was selected for the rock concert.

"AC/DC is probably the most sought-after act for the summer outdoor [concert season] touring this year and it had been one that had been in our scope since last fall," Fowler said.

"And a number of promoters were certainly interested in bringing the band to Atlantic Canada and we were certainly fortunate that one of the promoters that we work with on a regular basis was successful at landing the show and wanted to make it at Magnetic Hill."

Fowler said he has no information on who will open for the band just yet. He said unlike previous years, the event will not span the entire day but will begin in the middle of the afternoon.

Und wer sie in NB verpasst, am 29. August 2009 ist AC/DC in Vancouver. Lohnt sich, die Kartenpreise sind allerdings gepfeffert. Beim letzten Konzert in Vancouver waren sie innerhalb von 4 Minuten weg. Vorverkauf fuer Vancouver am 18. April.

aber das ist ja auch nicht weit von den staaten und da dürften die karten auch schnell weg sein

das ganze war ein Riesen heckmeck, überall wird Werbung dafür gemacht, nur irgendwie wusste ACDC bzw der Veranstalter in Moncton noch nix davon...so hiess es im Radio! nun gut, endlich hat es die Zusage gegeben, da wohl MOncton/ Veranstalter nicht sicher war ob man ACDC überhaupt klarmachen kann! egal, die mag ich eh nicht so, ich geh zum festival nach Fredericton!

August 26th in Edmonton, obwohl die tickets hier erst morgen oeffentlich verkauft werden, gibt es schon viele (hardcopies) auf Kijiji angeboten. Frontseats Bowl Floortickets gehen so um die $150. Ich warte noch, ist ok aber muss nicht sein. Mal sehen ob ich ein DEAL finde, sonst nicht.....ok, vieleicht doch
