Hi,
ich wollte mir nächste woche einen Plasma-spendeausweiß austellen lassen.
weis zufällig jemand ob es solche spendeämter auch in CA gibt und ob man dort einen neuen beantragen muss?
nehmen die überhaupt "Ausländer"?

wäre super wenn mir jemand etwas darüber sagen könnte

Ich hab von bekannten Deutschen hier in Kanada gehört, dass sie nicht Blut spenden können, weil sie "Ausländer" sind.

Deutsche/europaer duerfen nicht Blutspenden weil sie mad cow disease haben koennten.Oder creutzfeld Jacobs ...

ja aber man lässt das blut da ja vorher auch testen !?

Interessiert nicht Europaeer sind nicht Erlaubt zu spender.

"2. Possible Exposure to CJD or vCJD:
People are not eligible to donate blood or plasma if they have spent a cumulative total of three months or more in the United Kingdom (U.K.) between January 1980, and December 31, 1996, or if they have spent a cumulative total of three months or more in France between January 1980, and December 31, 1996, or if they have spent a cumulative total of five years or more in Western Europe outside the U.K. or France since 1980. In addition, people will no longer be eligible to donate blood or plasma if they have had a blood transfusion in the U.K., France or Western Europe since 1980. This is owing to the risk of transmission of variant Creutzfeldt Jakob Disease (vCJD) through blood."

Gilt also auch fuer Kanadier, Asiaten und wen auch immer.
