Es gibt doch Unterstützung zum Hauskauf in SASK.Man ist aber 10 Jahre am Haus gebunden.Sind ein paar Seiten ,bin aber noch nicht so ganz durchgestiegen.

Want to buy a home?
Not sure if you can afford to purchase a home? The Homeownership Program helps low- to moderate-income families achieve the dream of owning a home with financial assistance for the purchase of a property.

Depending on your household income and price of the property you want to buy, you may be eligible to receive:

a forgiveable loan up to $20,000 – you do not have to pay this loan back if you live the home for 10 years
a repayable low-interest mortgage of up to $30,000 – no payments are due for 10 years after which you pay the interest for 10 years and the amount of the mortgage in full
You are eligible for this program if you have:

an annual gross household income from all sources is at or below the Maximum Income Limits (MILS) as established by the Saskatchewan Housing Corporation. As of September 2007 this amount was $52,000 but is subject to change
dependants living in your household
not owned a home in the last three years
funding for the property that may include a mortgage, equity, or cosigner/guarantor
Other things to consider

The housing you choose must be modest in size and construction and can be either new or existing. For example, the property can be not more than 1,200 square feet, and have no more than three of the following: more than two bathrooms, a hot tub, a double garage, a sauna, or a fireplace.
You will have to take homeownership education, which is available free of charge, from the Saskatchewan Housing Corporation about budgeting, credit, mortgages, home buying, and home maintenance.
If you sell the property in the first 10 years, a portion of the forgiveable loan and the entire deferred loan including interest will need to be paid back.

Um sich damit auf die Grundstücksgröße zu beziehen, wären 1,200 square feet = ca. 111,48 qm etwas klein, oder? Diese wird ja normalerweise in „acres" angegeben und die Wohnfläche in „square feet". Im Zusammenhang mit dem Wohngebäude wird ja auch geschrieben, dass es u.a. „modest in size" sein muss.

Ich habe auf dem „Ritter-Gut" nur ein halbwegs bewohnbares Gebäude gesehen. Die restlichen neun windschiefen Einmann-Katen wurden von Herrn Ritter selbst als abbruchreif bezeichnet. Ausgenommen die barn.

Ich fand die Beiden ganz nett, aber ich glaube, die wären besser damit gefahren, sich etwas Land zu kaufen und ein Haus und einen Stable draufzustellen. In der Gegend dürfte das auch nicht die Welt kosten und ganz wichtig, Alles wäre neu!

Naja, die Möglichkeit zum Neubau bleibt ihnen ja trotzdem noch. Und wenn man die Wahl hat, in einem Doppelzimmerchen in einem Motel zu hausen, oder schonmal ein baufälliges Haus zu bewohnen, bis man Zeit und Geld findet was Neues daneben zu stellen, nehm ich doch das Haus. Beim Kaufpreis dürfte das Land der weitaus ausschlaggebendere Faktor gewesen sein, will sagen, das Stück Land wäre unbebaut wahrscheinlich nicht viel günstiger gewesen. Und irgendwann kommt dann ja auch der Container an und man kann 193 Kisten nunmal schlecht im Hotelzimmer stapeln.

Im übrigen haben die kein Plumpsklo, sondern, wie man im Beitrag sehen konnte, eine ganz normale Toilette mit Wasserspülung. Nur, dass es halt Brauchwasser, also gesammeltes Regenwasser ist. Gibt es hier in D auch, wenn die Niederschlagsmenge halbwegs reicht, ist das kein Problem. Das einzig nervige ist halt, Trinkwasser in entsprechenden Mengen immer zukaufen zu müssen.

kann das vieleicht sein das der Boden nicht ganz sauber (gesund) ist? die vorbesitzer hätten doch sicher einen Brunnen gebohrt..oder nicht?
